America’s horses are in need of our love this Valentine’s Day.

Every horse in this country, no matter how cherished, is just one bad sale away from slaughter. Many horse owners aren’t even aware that a wrong decision about rehoming their horse could result in that horse entering the slaughter pipeline—and some have found that out too late. This has to stop.

The SAFE Act, a federal bill to permanently ban horse slaughter, has a short window of time to pass and we need your help to get it across the finish line.

Without your voice, horses will continue to live in peril because of the danger of being shipped to foreign slaughterhouses each time they change hands throughout their life. Today is DAY ONE of the ASPCA’s Have a Heart for Horses Week Challenge, and we hope you’ll join us in pressuring Congress to take notice and pass this bill.
