Hello,

It has been just over 13 months since a violent group of insurrectionists breached the United States Capitol with force. It's hard to see headlines like this one:

Axios headline reading: RNC says Jan. 6 rioters engaged in legitimate political discourse

Last week, the Republican National Committee called the House January 6 select committee, which is investigating the insurrection, a "persecution of ordinary citizens engaged in legitimate political discourse."

This type of Republican rhetoric is what Michigan Democrats are up against, Team. Nothing about the January 6th riot was legitimate and it sure was not discourse.

We need to lead with the truth, together. Will you chip in to help Michigan Democrats fight back against these Republican lies?

We know that if Republicans gain power, they will excuse anyone who was involved in the insurrection and will put politics ahead of democracy. The defeated former president said himself that he plans to pardon everyone who was charged in the January 6th riot if he is elected president in 2024.

It is critical that we protect our democracy and help elect Michigan Democrats who will investigate the facts and hold those involved in the insurrection accountable.

Make a contribution today to directly help Team MDP recruit volunteers, train candidates, and get Democrats to the polls in November to stop Republicans from winning.
