This week: What to watch during Black History Month, and what's coming to CNN+. What to watch for Black History Month It's February again, which means it's Black History Month. It's important to make an extra effort this month to highlight and uplift the stories of the Black Americans who have shaped our country.

John Lewis: Good Trouble Stream it on HBO Max About the film: Using interviews and rare archival footage, John Lewis: Good Trouble chronicles the late Congressman's 60-plus years of social activism and legislative action on civil rights, voting rights, gun control, health care reform and immigration. Director Dawn Porter explores Lewis' childhood experiences, his inspiring family and his fateful meeting with Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. in 1957.

The People v. The Klan Stream it on HBO Max About the series: CNN’s Original Series The People v. The Klan is a four-part docuseries that tells the little-known true story of Beulah Mae Donald, a Black mother in Alabama, who took down the Ku Klux Klan after the brutal murder and lynching of her son Michael Donald.

Dreamland: The Burning of Black Wall Street Stream it on HBO Max About the film: Dreamland: The Burning of Black Wall Street explores the history of Black Wall Street, which existed in the Greenwood district of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and the violent events of 1921 that resulted in the slaughter of hundreds of the city's Black residents.

United Shades of America with W. Kamau Bell Stream it on HBO Max and select episodes on CNNgo About the series: The Emmy Award-winning documentary series, United Shades of America follows comedian and political provocateur W. Kamau Bell as he explores communities across the US to understand the unique challenges they face. Some specific episodes featuring Black history-makers to check out around Black History Month are Power of Protest from season six, The Time for Reparations from season five, and #livingwhileblack from season four.

Eva Longoria: Searching for Mexico If you liked Stanley Tucci: Searching for Italy then you're going to love Eva Longoria: Searching for Mexico. The new series follows Longoria as she traverses Mexico exploring one of the most popular, and arguably misunderstood, global cuisines. She'll be harvesting blue agave for tequila as the Aztecs once did and slow cooking traditional mole sauce in Oaxaca as she explores her Mexican-American roots and embraces Mexican culture.
For those looking for a love story, make sure to watch The Last Movie Stars. Directed by Ethan Hawke, the film tells the love story of actors Joanne Woodward and Paul Newman, who worked together on classic movies like Cool Hand Luke and Mr. and Mrs. Bridge.
