Ruth’s List Florida is excited to announce our latest endorsement — Tina Certain for Alachua County School Board, District 1. This is Ruth’s List’s second endorsement of Tina, who successfully flipped this seat from Republican hands in 2018. 

Tina is a lifelong resident of Alachua County, with deep roots in both the public school system and the community-at-large. She is an active participant in the Gainesville for All Initiative (Gnv4All) and a founding member of the Education Task Force (ETF), a grassroots organization that advocates for equity in educational opportunities. She is a proven leader on the school board, whose notable accomplishments during her first term include her work to bring an early literacy program to the district’s K-2 students.
