YOU have given Houston a chance to do better for the more than 2.3 million people of Houston. Sometimes it’s easy to think in a city of millions that your vote or hour of volunteer time is just a drop in the ocean but let me tell you this—YOU, quite literally put us here, in this moment.

November 27 is the first day of early voting. We NEED your help more than ever!
The biggest threat I face in this runoff is not from my opponent. It’s voter complacency because of the time of year. YOU are the key to winning.
We all know the hectic craziness of the upcoming holidays; school choir concerts, out of town trips, Thanksgiving feasts, bouts of the flu, holiday celebrations.
It works in my opponent’s favor if voters don’t turn out a second time, if the holidays slow the passion for change in this city, if dissatisfaction in his leadership goes into hibernation for winter.
But that's not going to happen because I believe you will make your voice heard and show up at the polls.
Here’s what I need from you in the next 15 days—find two hours that you can work into your schedule to take part in phone banking, block walking and poll watching.
