. Celebration fuels our work Hi John,
Your support and action is making a difference for Wisconsin. Building resilient communities, taking proactive steps to fight climate change, and setting a course for 100 percent clean energy across the state are all possible – and happening now.
Wisconsin Conservation Voters and its allies and supporters have passed local clean energy resolutions in numerous Wisconsin communities including Brown County, De Pere, and the Town of Peshtigo – with a goal of 70 communities doing the same.
As part of our federal strategy, we mounted a major campaign to convince our Congressional representatives to pass the infrastructure package that will help rebuild our communities and provide good paying jobs. Now, we’re focusing on getting the Build Back Better Act passed, especially its climate provisions. With your help, we ran a major campaign in 2021, sending messages to leaders, engaging statewide and national media, hosting events with our U.S. House and Senate members – and we’re still keeping the pressure on to pass the climate bill in the Senate.
We know there is more work to do. But, it’s critical to celebrate our progress. Thanks to your support, we’re making a significant impact on our state. I hope you’ll join me in this new year with renewed energy to continue the fight for a clean energy future.
Thank you for standing alongside us in this movement, Erin Bloodgood Communications Manager Wisconsin Conservation Voters |
