It's Arianna again, a campaign manager here at Welch for Vermont. I wanted to take a minute to share what’s on my mind, and why this election will have an outsize impact on protecting our democracy.

It’s clear that right now the stakes couldn't be higher. We need affordable child care for working families in Vermont and urgent climate action now. We need to lower the cost of prescription drugs and protect reproductive rights. This open seat in Vermont could be the difference between passing our positive progressive agenda and Mitch McConnell controlling the Senate again.

With the Senate split 50-50, Democrats cannot afford to lose a single seat. That’s why Peter needs your support. If we’re going to keep Vermont and the Senate blue, we’ll have to do it together.
