Hello – I wanted to take a minute today to tell you about my dad.

My dad was a WWII veteran who survived the Battle of the Bulge. He came back determined to make sure that our country was ever worthy of the sacrifice he had seen on the battlefield. When I was young, he used to look over the corner of his newspaper at the breakfast table and ask my siblings and me, “What are you doing for freedom today?”

That’s a big question for three kids who are just trying to finish their cereal before the school bus arrives, but it’s one I think about to this day – and make a point to answer.

I ran for office to make a difference for as many people who needed my help as I could and to ensure that all Americans have the opportunity to succeed. It’s been my honor to serve Granite Staters in the U.S. Senate, and I’m not done fighting for the issues that matter most, from lowering the cost of prescription drugs to helping families afford child care.

My last race was decided by just 1,017 votes. So if we don't respond to the GOP's relentless attacks, it could mean the difference between winning or losing this crucial Senate seat. Please, can you make a donation of $5 right now?

Thank you for your support.

With every good wish,
Maggie Hassan
