We are saddened to inform you of
the passing of Shirley Ceci, beloved wife to retired Wisconsin Supreme
Court Justice Lou Ceci, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother,
sister, and aunt.
Services will be held on Friday,
February 11 at Schmidt and Bartelt Funeral Home located at 10121 W
North Ave in Wauwatosa.

Wauwatosa - (Nee Haldi) Entered
into Eternal Life on February 4, 2022 at Elaine's Hope, in the
Lutheran Home in Wauwatosa.
Shirley was born in Des
Plaines, IL, on November 6, 1936, the youngest of three children born
to Arnold and Rose Haldi. After graduating from Jefferson High School,
she moved to Milwaukee, where she met her future husband Louis, while
employed as a legal secretary.
She is survived by her husband,
life partner and best friend of over 65 years, Justice Louis J. Ceci,
and their children Joseph (Pamela) of Wauwatosa, Geraldine (Peter)
Cupery of Madison, David (Marilyn) of East Hampton, NY, Remy of Pepin
and Louis G. of Nevada City, CA. She is further survived by her
grandchildren Douglas, Theodor, Thomas, Nicholas, Anthony, Joseph
(Lynn) Gleue and Rose (Morgan) Rogers, as well as her brother Donald
(Nancy) of Denver, dear nieces, nephews, great-grandchildren and many
loving friends.
Shirley was preceeded in death
by her parents, her sister Grace, and daughter
Kristin.
She was instrumental in
advancing Justice Louis J. Ceci's career through her fiercely loyal
love, encouragement and support. They loved to travel, enjoying
immensely their ocean cruises, and exploring their heritages in Italy,
Switzerland, and Germany. They also enjoyed building their homes in
the Town of Jackson, Glendale, Fitchburg, the Town of Brookfield, and
St. Petersburg, FL.
Visitation for family and
friends will be held on Friday, February 11, at Schmidt & Bartelt
Funeral Home, 10121 North Avenue in Wauwatosa, from 10 a.m. until the
funeral service at 12 p.m. Private entombment will take place at
Resurrection Cemetery in Mequon.
Shirley, her wonderful laugh
and radiant smile will live in our hearts forever.
In lieu of flowers, the family
requests that donations be made in Shirley's name to the Alzheimer's
Foundation of America.
We ask that you join us in prayer
for Justice Ceci and his family during this difficult
time.
