John,

You can feel it in the air. A new spirit of labor standing up and striking has been permeating our nation throughout this past fall and winter.

The final months of 2021 saw a record number of workers leave their jobs for greener pastures. While this mass exodus was happening, tens of thousands of workers went on strike at John Deere, Frito-Lay, Volvo, Kellogg’s, Frontier, NYU, Harvard and Columbia. From the coal mines of Alabama to the Hospitals of the Pacific Northwest, working people are fed up.

On Saturday, I stopped by the Starbucks in Callowhill, a neighborhood in Philadelphia, to support their staff as they make their own efforts to unionize.

Mixing in with the smell of joe, the spirit of workers standing up for what they are owed was tangible inside of that Starbucks.

You can feel it everywhere. On Friday, legislative staff on Capitol Hill voted to unionize, a huge win for the often overworked, underpaid, and mistreated, workers that keep our Democracy humming.

Labor is emboldened and on the march in this country, and our campaign is marching with them.

When I am elected I will be a bulldog for our unions. I will be steadfast and devoted to my working constituents and vicious to the corporations and labor abusers that would exploit my working sisters and brothers.

Philadelphia needs a champion for its workers, please consider chipping in $15 to my campaign and add your voice to the tsunami of fed up workers that is bringing back organized labor stronger than ever.

Solidarity today, solidarity tomorrow, solidarity forever.
