Team,

Republican legislatures across the country are still using Trump's "Big Lie" of voter fraud as justification for passing egregious voter suppression bills. Here in New Hampshire last year, we saw Republicans try to pass voting rights restrictions, including a bill that would exclude student IDs from the list of acceptable IDs to vote.

We need immediate federal action to safeguard voting rights for all Americans. That's why Chris worked with his colleagues in the House to pass the Freedom to Vote: John R. Lewis Act last month. Despite this work, this crucial legislation has been blocked in the Senate, and our voting rights are hanging in the balance.

Voter suppression is a direct threat to our democracy, and we have to fight back. If you agree that we need immediate federal action to protect our voting rights, add your name.

2021 was one of the worst years for voting rights in recent years, and we have to be ready for the voting rights restrictions Republicans will inevitably try to pass this year. There's no doubt that Republican state legislatures will try to pass more limits on vote-by-mail, polling hours, and voter ID laws; we need federal action to stop them.

There is nothing more important than defending our democracy and preserving our government that is by and for the people. That means protecting our voting rights.

Add your name if you believe that it's time for the Senate to take action to safeguard our voting rights >>

Thank you,
