NEWS: North Carolina’s Supreme Court rules maps were unconstitutionally gerrymandered!

Last night, the North Carolina Supreme Court rejected the districts drawn by Republicans in the state legislature as an unconstitutional partisan gerrymander.
This is a win for democracy and all voters.
Republicans tried to rig our democracy in their favor, but justice has prevailed. Now, we will have a fair shot at getting maps that reflect the diversity of our state.
This means not only the U.S. Senate majority but also the U.S. House majority could come down to North Carolina — and what we are collectively able to accomplish in this campaign.
Cheri and all of us are committed to leading this ticket and organizing everywhere to turn our state blue. Together, we can elect new leadership for all North Carolinians, but Cheri cannot do it alone.
This is shaping up to be a historic election year for North Carolina. It is going to be Democrats’ biggest battleground anywhere in the country.
