Hi John, it's Abby. It's been a long week on the campaign trail here in Iowa, but I have a quick second to talk right now, and I wanted to reach out about a major policy announcement before logging off for the night.
I recently committed to supporting federal term limits and promised to only serve two terms in the Senate. Iowans know they deserve a leader who will fight for working families, who cares more about public service than any political ambitions, and who will look toward the future and move our state forward.
But for nearly half a century, we've been stuck with a man who votes against working families on everything from child tax credits to expanding affordable health care. A man who's been dining at elite D.C. cocktail parties since before I was born. A man who only cares about his own far-right agenda, not fixing the real problems facing our state and securing a bright future for the next generation.
It's probably clear by now, but this race is deeply personal for me. I lived in Iowa my entire life, and I'm from one of those working class families that Sen. Grassley left behind. That's why I can promise you that I will do whatever it takes to defeat this man and flip this state blue.
