We're setting a $100,000 goal to keep Beto on the road and fund our events.
John,
Beto just kicked off our statewide Drive to Keep The Lights On in remembrance of last year's deadly power grid collapse.
Over the next 11 days, Beto will be traveling over 2,100 miles to over 20 cities and towns that were hit by the winter storms that left millions of families without heat, electricity, and running water for days.
But to be transparent, this much travel is a major expense — especially in such a large state. So, we're setting a $100,000 goal to keep Beto on the road and fund our events.
Every donation will go toward printing campaign literature, reserving event spaces, and most importantly, putting gas in Beto's truck. John, can I count on you to chip in $3 or more to power our Drive to Keep The Lights On?
There's no denying that last year's grid collapse was preventable, and unfortunately, Greg Abbott has failed to do enough to stop it from happening again. Instead of fixing the grid, Abbott has protected the profits of his mega-donors.
As governor, Beto will make sure we have a government that works for, and is accountable to, everyone in this state. That's why he'll be on the road hearing directly from those who stepped up to lead in their communities when their own governor refused to. Beto will also lay out steps to bring utility costs down and make sure this crisis doesn't happen again.
John, reaching this goal will be critical to meeting thousands of new folks, spreading the word about our campaign for ALL Texans, and defeating Greg Abbott. Please, if you can, chip in $3 or more today to keep Beto on the road.

Thanks for being a part of this,
