John:
Senator Ron Johnson (R-WI) was recently asked about reducing child care costs in America. His response?
"I’ve never really felt it was society’s responsibility to take care of other people’s children."
What a guy. So much for "it takes a village."

The GOP is clearly out of touch with the kitchen-table issues that American families are grappling with every day. Republicans proved that by undermining the critical extension of the expanded Child Tax Credit that Democrats passed in 2021.
But it doesn’t have to be this way. It just so happens that most of the world disagrees with Ron Johnson on society’s responsibility to care for its children. Countries around the world contribute an average of $14,000 towards the cost of care per child each year, compared with the United States’ measly $500 per child.
Democrats believe that in America, we can and should care for our children and each other. Investing in our kids from a young age is good for our kids, our economy, and our country. Republicans just don’t seem to get that.
If you agree, John, will you make a contribution today to our efforts to protect and expand the Democratic majority in the House and beyond? [[link removed]]
