Friends — Recently, I spoke at the start of the Indiana Democratic Party’s Jobs Tour. I wanted to provide a short recap of that conversation for you here. At the event, we discussed:
The American Rescue Plan delivering $170 million in COVID-19 relief to Gary.
The American Rescue Plan investing $114 million in Northwest Indiana infrastructure projects through the Regional Economic Acceleration and Development Initiative (READI).
And the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act which will provide the funds to repair over 1,111 bridges and thousands of miles of roads.
It was Democratic lawmakers who took action to actually do something to address the crumbling infrastructure in our communities. I am proud to have been a part of the efforts to pass the American Rescue Plan and the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law.
I am proud to be a Democrat who is working to create tangible benefits for Northwest Indiana and real, economic prosperity that will benefit generations to come.
