John — Eddie Geller here. Sometimes climate change keeps me awake at night.
This sounds like the start of a joke, but I’m not kidding. I really, really do worry about our future. What kind of world will we leave to the next generation?
Because — despite what my opponent Scott Franklin says — the climate crisis is here. Seas are rising. Extreme weather is getting more frequent. And we’re running out of time to stop it.
Here in my central Florida district, we are already feeling the impacts of our changing climate. Temperatures and extreme weather events have increased steadily over the last 30 years — and it’s just getting worse.
And according to scientists (aka the folks I trust on this issue), temperatures are only going to continue to rise. Our climate is like a runaway train and the tracks are ending soon!
That’s why this race is so important, John. My opponent Scott Franklin is a climate change denier and takes big money from the same corporate special interests fueling the climate crisis. Until we vote out anti-science politicians like Rep. Franklin, our climate crisis will only get more dire.
And we’re running out of time (hence the existential dread). If we don’t take urgent, bold action on climate, the world we leave for our children will be a MUCH different place.
John — can you chip in $5 to help flip FL-15 so we can FINALLY take urgent action on climate change before it’s too late?
Thanks for helping defeat anti-science, climate change denier Scott Franklin, John.
