John,
With corporate Democrats and Republicans in D.C. fighting to keep Congress from getting anything done at all, we need bold new representatives who are unafraid to challenge the status quo and make real change.
That’s why we’re proud to endorse Nida Allam for North Carolina’s 6th Congressional District.
As a dedicated organizer and the first Muslim woman elected to public office in North Carolina, Nida is fighting to ensure that all people have access to a living wage, excellent health care, and a clean and protected planet.
With the North Carolina primary just a little over three months away, we’re asking you to pitch in $10 right now to spread her message to voters and grow our movement in NC-06. Can we count on you to split a donation between Nida Allam and the Working Families Party today, John?

Nida grew up in Wake County, North Carolina as the daughter of Indian and Pakistani immigrants. Seeing the need for quality care in her community, she spearheaded a campaign that provided low-income residents with free health care. And when three of her friends were murdered in an anti-Muslim hate crime in 2015, Nida chose to carry on their legacy by organizing her community and amplifying the voices and needs of the unheard and oppressed.
She was elected Durham County Commissioner in 2020, making her the first Muslim woman to hold office in North Carolina. Since then, she’s used her position to fight to raise the minimum wage for county employees and provide tax relief to low-income members of her community.
Nida is running now to take her experience as an organizer and advocate to Washington, to fight for jobs, care, and justice on the national level. With a Green New Deal and a $23/hour minimum wage as key platform priorities, we know that Nida has the vision we need to provide for our communities and build a country that works for us all.
We can win, John — Nida’s election and the transformative policies we dream of. But first, we need your help. Will you split a $10 donation between Nida Allam and the Working Families Party now? Whatever you’re able to give will go a long way towards making sure leaders like Nida are driving policy that improves our lives.
