Last year, I staved off a politically unthinkable occurrence – a Democratic takeover in Texas. In the process of battling back the Democrats'
blue wave, I learned what it takes to survive the most expensive Senate race in United States history.
After what I went through in the 2018 election, I want to ensure none of my colleagues endure the same level of multi-million-dollar attacks, dark
money, and smears from the Left.
Unfortunately, that's exactly what my friend and
colleague Martha McSally is already facing in Arizona, and she needs our help.
Martha joined the U.S. Senate in January, and within the first month of her appointment, Democrats were already spending six-figures against her.
It's not hard to see why Democrats are after Martha. She's a no-nonsense problem-solver who's immune to political intimidation and hardwired
to tackle challenges head on. That in itself is a problem for Democrats, especially when it comes to major issues like immigration.
Martha lives in a border state, so the issue is front and center for her. She's been vocal about the crisis that's happening on our borders, the
threat to public safety, and Democrats' flat out refusal to compromise on any solution.
Martha's not afraid to call out divisive Democrats for their obstinance, which I applaud, but Democrats loathe. That's why the Left is rabid at the thought of
defeating Martha and turning Arizona blue.
If you look at the map, the Democrat blue wave is spreading through western states, and Arizona is the only state stopping them from flooding more red
states.
The Left is well aware of this, and that's why Arizona is expected to become the most expensive, competitive battleground race in
2020. In fact, they're already raising and spending millions like the state has never seen.
Having just gone through a similar ordeal, I
