The federal government funded the study of a Home Equity Tax on your home and we’ve got a plan to push back.
The Canadian Taxpayers Federation just blew the whistle on a federal crown corporation for spending hundreds of thousands of dollars to fund a study that recommends a Home Equity Tax. The study’s authors admitted to CTV the tax “would impact the ability of Canadians to count on housing as their primary retirement investment.” Does that sound like a good idea to you?

Homeowners in those cities need to hear about this potential tax, because average home values are already over a million dollars and this new tax could hit them with a huge bill.
If we don’t stop it today, it won’t be long before Ottawa expands a Home Equity Tax to hit every home owner.
