Kansas Governor Laura Kelly has VETOED the gerrymandered district map put forward by the Kansas GOP.

Last night was a major development in the redistricting process here in Kansas.

When presented with Congressional maps that would dilute the voting power of Black and Latino communities in and around Kansas City, Gov. Kelly took a stand.

Gov. Kelly knows that the goal of the redistricting process is to ensure all Kansans have the opportunity to participate in their government and have their voices heard. But Republicans in the Legislature have promised to override Gov. Kelly's veto, so we need you to take a stand.

If we want to preserve our democracy, we cannot allow the voices of Black and Brown voters to be silenced by the Kansas GOP.
