In the past few weeks, we’ve collected data and heard stories from
thousands of Women’s Marchers about why they or a loved one received an
abortion, and the challenges they faced accessing reproductive health
care.

We want to thank the thousands of Women’s Marchers who
shared their stories. One in four people in the U.S. will have an abortion
in their lifetime, and each reason is deeply personal and different or has
touched our lives in some way.

Your feedback is critical in helping us understand the barriers we face
when it comes to accessing abortion care and equipping our communities
with the information we need to fight back against an extremist GOP agenda
to strip away our bodily autonomy. 

In just a moment we’ll share the insights we found in our survey results.

survey results:

* 32% of survey takers have had an abortion.

* 40% of survey takers helped a family member, friend, or loves one
access an abortion.

* 94% of survey takers said they were “extremely concerned” about the
recent attacks on abortion rights by the Supreme Court and GOP
politicians.

* 60% of survey takers said accessing abortion in their city was
difficult or extremely difficult. 

* Marchers shared stories of accessing abortion across the decades for
many different reasons. From traveling across state lines in the
1960’s to performing their own abortion because they had no other
choice.

Your stories help us understand the state of abortion access across the
country. This information will help our team strategize and determine how
we build power in our communities to stop the full-on GOP assault on our
right to self-determination.
