Every day, my dad would wake me up at 6 a.m. and say, “Put your shoes on, son. Get ready." If I asked why, he'd say, "There's something for you to do. I don't know exactly what it is yet – but be ready.”

I've spent my entire life trying to be ready. Ready to serve my community as the senior pastor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s church, and ready to represent my constituents as the first Black senator of Georgia. Ready – because a kid who grows up in public housing today in many ways has it harder than I did back then.

Since stepping into office, I've worked to create a better, brighter future for all – but with critical fights for justice still on our horizon, I urgently need your help.
