John,

Donald Trump has made it his mission to scapegoat immigrants and people of color since Day 1 of his presidency. One of his key anti-immigrant policy decisions was to end the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program that was created during the Obama administration to protect nearly 800,000 young people who were brought to the U.S. as children from deportation. These are 800,000 real people we know; they are our friends, neighbors, classmates, and colleagues, and we must continue to protect them.

Since Trump announced his decision to terminate DACA in 2017, those Dreamers’ lives have been in legal limbo while the case has gone through the courts. Today, the Supreme Court finally begins to hear oral arguments on whether Trump can legally terminate this program.

We know with two of Trump’s hand-picked right-wing judges on the bench, we can’t just hope that SCOTUS does the right thing and upholds DACA. We can protect Dreamers once and for all by passing the DREAM Act in Congress.

The Democratic-led House of Representatives already passed this bill last June — it’s been sitting on Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell’s desk ever since.

It’s time to put public pressure on the Senate like never before and demand they finally take up a vote on the DREAM Act before it’s too late: add your name now.

There’s no excuse for the DREAM Act to become yet another victim of McConnell’s legislative graveyard. And it’s just plain ridiculous for McConnell and Trump to claim that Democrats haven’t done anything on immigration. We passed the bill: now the ball is in their court.

As the country waits and watches to see if SCOTUS will stand on the right side of history by upholding DACA, we need to establish protections for hundreds of thousands of Dreamers NOW. They can’t keep waiting in fear.

Sign our petition now to demand the Senate pass the DREAM Act ASAP >>

Thanks for fighting alongside us,
