Last week marked the two-year anniversary of Virginia ratifying the Equal Rights Amendment — the final state needed to reach the threshold necessary for the ERA to become part of the constitution. But because of a Trump-era legal decision, the ERA isn’t the 28th Amendment yet.

Here’s why the ratification of the ERA is so critical: it would guarantee that constitutional rights may not be denied based on sex.

Today, women’s rights are under attack everywhere and we must demand action. The facts are clear:

Women are paid 79 cents on the man’s dollar, and that number drops even more for women of color.

Women’s reproductive freedom is being endangered all across the country.

Voter suppression is rampant — silencing our voices.
