Dear John,
Busboys and Poets and Citizens' Climate Lobby – DC present:
Join us Wednesday, November 20 for the event "Immigration and Climate: The Refugee Crisis"
From detention camps, ICE raids, and shocking federal practices, US immigration policy has become explosively problematic. But what is the connection to climate change? Join climate and immigration experts to speak about how the two topics are interrelated. We will explore how climate disruption impacts developing countries, the role of climate advocacy to alleviate the immigration crisis, and how climate activism needs to change to be inclusive of immigrants and people of color.
