Our Revolution members filed a legal challenge against Madison Cawthorn’s ability to run for office on the grounds he is Constitutionally ineligible as a participant in an insurrection against the United States.
That challenge is proceeding, and the response from white nationalist con artist Madison Cawthorn was to ask the judge to throw out our members’ challenge by absurdly claiming immunity.
The most amusing part of the whole thing is that he actually cited an ex-Confederate running after the Civil War as why he could run — which is (unsurprisingly) legally wrong in as many ways as most of the traitorous bile that manages to escape his mouth.
