A Message from the Trudeau Society Chair
|
|
Dear Trudeau Society Members, Donors, and Supporters:
As we close out the first month of the new year, it is difficult to once again see our hospitals full. We have seen more than double the number of patients hospitalized with COVID and in the intensive care units in the last two weeks.
As we continue to address the surge of patients hospitalized due to COVID, our teams are on the frontlines, taking on more shifts, restricting procedures, travel, and social events to meet the needs of our patients.
In the face of adversity, I am proud to see so many of us in the healthcare profession step up and show up for the community. As we enter another period of uncertainty and change, Trudeau Society will continue to provide opportunities to support our healthcare community with live and virtual educational meetings throughout the year.
Now more than ever it is important that our community stays connected and continues to share resources, knowledge, and research so that we can provide the best patient care possible.
We have a diverse meeting calendar and look forward to seeing you at our Trudeau Society meetings this year.
Sincerely,
|

In memory of
Professor Joseph Milič-Emili
It is with great sadness that Joseph Milic-Emili ("Milic" to his friends and colleagues) passed away on January 8, 2022.
Milic has dedicated his life to training countless students and fellows from all over the world, many of whom went on to become international leaders in their own right. As a past speaker and member of the Trudeau Society, we are truly grateful for his service and commitment to educating our healthcare community.
He has left a legacy that will always be remembered.
