Hello there,

I’m Gabby Giffords, and I’m from Tucson, Arizona. On January 8, 2011, my life changed forever. I was a congresswoman meeting with my constituents in a shopping center when I was shot in the head.

18 other people were shot that day and 6 lost their lives. I had to relearn how to walk and talk again. As I healed, I watched shooting after shooting wreck families and terrorize communities across our country. I decided that enough was enough, so I founded my organization Giffords to save lives from gun violence.

As part of my fight to end gun violence, I am proud to endorse Senator Michael Bennet for re-election. Michael understands just how important it is to protect Coloradans from gun violence. He has acted on this conviction by working to pass universal background checks and close the loopholes that allow convicted domestic abusers to access guns. I know Michael will continue to stand up to the gun lobby and put the safety of our communities first because he has always been a clear and consistent voice for change.

We are at a crossroads in our nation between allowing gun violence to ravage our communities and taking action to protect our future. So, I hope you’ll join me in this fight and support Michael’s re-election campaign today.

Add your name to join me in supporting Michael Bennet’s work to keep our communities safe by passing universal background checks and closing dangerous loopholes in our gun laws.
