Over $7.4 BILLION has poured into elections from outside groups since the Supreme Court’s Citizens United decision over 12 years ago, and 2022 will undoubtedly be more expensive than ever.

In fact, Ohio’s Senate race is shaping up to be one of the most expensive contests in the country this year.

POLITICO reports that “staggering sums of money are already being spent” in 2022 -- and we’re only one month into the election year.

Over $130 MILLION has been spent nationwide on TV ads for 2022 already, which is more than double than what was spent on Senate races at this point in 2020 and 2018. And Ohio Republicans are currently spending more on ads than anywhere else in the country.

Dark-money groups are also fueling an astronomical amount of spending, with J.D. Vance getting $10 MILLION from a Peter Thiel-backed outside group.

Special-interest groups are dumping outrageous amounts of money into our elections so they can buy a seat at the decision-making table while silencing voters’ voices in our elections.

You know this as well as I do: Leaders in Washington should follow the will of voters -- not their special-interest donors. Sign our petition today and call for a constitutional amendment to overturn Citizens United.
