Dear John,
A career in the performing arts is always hard, but this past year made it even more challenging. During this difficult time, you provided an urgently needed support system to actors, singers, dancers, stage managers and other professionals who were in need.
When members of our community have nowhere else to turn, they know they can rely on The Actors Fund—and on you.
We are counting on your support for our 2022 Annual Fund Drive today. Please make a gift now to help provide a vital safety net for performing arts and entertainment professionals in need.
Thanks to your generosity over the past year, we have:
- Served over 25,000 clients across all programs and services, including those needing assistance because of COVID-19, Hurricane Ida, the wildfires in California and other emergencies.
- Provided more than $6.8 million in financial assistance, which is more than 3 times the amount in a typical year.
- Helped over 3,000 entertainment professionals navigate and take advantage of new opportunities through our Career Center while exploring their relationships to their careers; many of which were on hold for more than a year due to the pandemic.
- Broken ground on The Hollywood Arts Collective—a large scale project that will include 151 units of affordable housing for artists, the 71-seat Glorya Kaufman Theater, art galleries, rehearsal studios, non-profit arts office space and a new home for The Actors Fund Western Region Headquarters.
It is our mission to be there for members of our community who turn to us for help. But we can only do that with you by our side. Please make your 2022 Annual Fund Drive contribution now.
Thank you for your generosity today,
Katherine Freedman (she, her, hers) Deputy Director of Advancement
If you have recently made a gift to The Actors Fund and your gift hasn’t been processed in our system yet, thank you for your continued support and for being part of our family.
