I'm Shannon – Tom's running mate and candidate for Lieutenant Governor. I can't tell you how excited I am to meet you and work with you to build a better future for Maryland alongside Tom.

Maryland has my heart. I've called this state home for more than 20 years. It's where I found lifelong sisterhood as a soror of Alpha Kappa Alpha. It's where I started my family, and it's where I served the people of Baltimore's 13th District on the City Council – uplifting working families and neighborhoods, helping victims of police brutality heal from their trauma, and fighting for working moms – just like me.

I'm joining Tom because like me, he has spent his entire career working to uplift working communities and families.

Like me, Tom knows what it's like to be raised by a single parent, working hard to make ends meet – just like so many Marylanders.

Like me, Tom is an experienced leader who doesn't just have a vision for Maryland's future, but the skills and will to get it done.

Together – I know we can build a Maryland that delivers for our people and sets a national example as a provider of jobs, justice, and equal opportunity for everyone.
