What We Stand For
It's been a busy week at the Republican National Committee's annual winter meeting in Salt Lake City, Utah, so this note is a little shorter than normal, but its message is still important.
Joe Biden, in an attempt to place blame for his floundering far-Left agenda, has been asking the rhetorical question: "What are Republicans for?"
Of course, he doesn't really want to know, but I'm happy to fill him in with just a brief list of what we stand for and believe in:
American exceptionalism
The U.S. and Indiana Constitutions and the rights they preserve
Limited, responsible, and transparent government
Free, fair, and secure elections
Individual liberty and freedom
The sanctity of life
Equality of opportunity, not equality of outcome
Poll after poll has shown that voters know our beliefs align with theirs more so than the Democratic Party. And we'll make sure that more and more voters know just what we stand for as we work to take back the U.S. House and Senate this year.

Governor Holcomb's Week That Was
Another Record-Breaking Year for Economic Development
On Monday, Gov. Holcomb was joined by Secretary of Commerce Brad Chambers to announce the end of a fifth consecutive record-breaking year for economic development in Indiana. Nearly 300 companies committed to locate and expand in Indiana, investing more than $8.7 billion in their operations, a 56% increase from 2020, with an increasing average wage of $28.49 per hour.
This marks the highest capital investment and annual record for average wages since the Indiana Economic Development Corporation (IEDC) was established in 2005.
“IEDC’s success is vitally important in revitalizing and connecting our communities,” said Gov. Holcomb. “By strengthening our economy, reskilling our workforce, and building up and out infrastructure network, we are simultaneously enhancing our quality of place and life.”
Thanks to the work of Mjr. Richard R. Wright, a former slave and Republican activist, every February 1—the first day of Black History Month—we honor the passage of the 13th Amendment signed into law by President Abraham Lincoln in 1865.

Sen. Braun Releases "Groundhog Day Report"
On Tuesday, Sen. Mike Braun released his "Groundhog Day Report"—a look at how the D.C. swamp keeps coming back again and again—with a call for White House staff “term limits."
In part, the welcome message reads: "Before I ran for U.S. Senate, I ran a business for 38 years. I know from experience: your operation is only as good as the people you hire. That’s why we shouldn’t be surprised by the poor product we get out of Washington. They keep hiring the same people, and expecting different results ... Your operation is only as good as the people you hire, and based on the results we’ve been getting out of the federal government, I think it’s time we pass out some pink slips."
Registration is open for the Indiana Republican Party's 2022 Congress of Counties!
This two-day training event for Republican Party leaders, candidates, and grassroots activists is scheduled for Friday, February 25 through Saturday, February 26, 2022, at the historic French Lick Resort in French Lick, Ind.
Thankfully, general admission for the event was not impacted by Bidenflation and remains at $100 per person.
