More than 2 in 5 Iowans have pre-existing health conditions, which means that nearly half of Iowans rely on the Affordable Care Act (ACA) to protect their health insurance and prevent outrageous premiums.
As one of the 1.3 million Iowans living with a preexisting condition, I know just how crucial it is to protect the ACA. With it, I was able to get the care I needed following a collapsed lung in March. Without it, I would be vulnerable to losing the coverage my family and I depend on.
Unlike Joni Ernst, who has voted to repeal the ACA five times, I know what’s at stake and how personal affordable healthcare is to all of us. Iowa counts on the ACA, and now you can count on me to defend it.

Joni Ernst has consistently voted against the ACA, despite having no backup plan in place to protect pre-existing conditions. She has shown us five times that our health and well-being is not her priority.
Iowa deserves a Senator that cares more about the bottom line than the party line.
