Team,

Mark has some exciting news he wanted us to share about a bill he is cosponsoring to rein in deceptive and unfair practices by America’s biggest tech companies.

It’s called The American Innovation and Choice Online Act. If signed into law, it will begin to address the undue power of big tech companies, and give consumers and smaller tech startups a fighting chance. The good news is that it just passed out of committee with bipartisan support. But the fact is, passing any sort of tech regulation legislation will take a team effort, and that’s why Mark needs your help today.

Sign our petition now if you support making the internet a safer and fairer place by passing the American Innovation and Choice Online Act. [link removed]

Mark could talk your ear off about this bill for hours, but we’ll try to put it in simple terms.

Big technology companies have a massive influence over the technology landscape today. And they use that influence to prevent companies with competitive products or offerings from gaining a foothold in the market.

That makes it so much harder for smaller tech companies and tech startups to succeed. Their most likely outcome is to be sold to and taken over by one of these big technology companies. And that’s just wrong.

Mark is a former businessman in technology himself. He knows that innovation thrives through healthy competition on a level playing field. The American Innovation and Choice Online Act brings us closer to that goal by limiting big tech’s ability to abuse their dominance in the market.

The bill just passed committee, and has a real chance of becoming law. Sign our petition to let Mark know you support his efforts to rein in big tech. [link removed]

Thanks,

Team Warner
