Kia ora John, We see that you’ve been reading our emails and supporting our mahi quite a bit recently. We wanted to take a little minute to say thank you, John. I also wondered if you might be interested in joining the Party, and making it official? It might not be something you’ve thought about doing before, but I wanted you to have the opportunity to give it a go. Joining our movement is a key step to being part of shaping the future of our party, and our country. Our party is filled with passionate and caring people who are committed to the party’s values and want to see us succeed. Membership also gives you an important role in decision making in the party. You can be part of our policy discussions today that shape New Zealand tomorrow. You can also have your say at candidate selections, attend local and nationwide conferences, and run for office at any level. There are two ways to get started: — You can sign up to Victory for Labour, which is sort of like a subscription; you get all the benefits of an annual membership, except you don’t have to worry about renewing again each year. Half of your monthly contribution goes towards your local electorate, and half to the nationwide effort. — Or you can sign up for a membership with a one-off payment, and we’ll remind you again early next year to renew your membership. So, what will it be John?
I’ve been involved with Labour since the late 1990s, through victory and defeat, good times and other times. It’s given me purpose and a sense of solidarity, and I’ve met so many incredible people through the party, too. I really hope you’ll join us, and that your experience of Labour is as uplifting and rewarding as mine. I look forward to being in touch over the coming weeks and sharing opportunities for members to keep participating in our Party and support our movement. Looking forward to having you on board this year! In solidarity, Rob Salmond General Secretary |
