In a statement recently released by Donald Trump, he bluntly said that “Mike Pence did have the right to change the outcome” and that “he didn’t exercise that power, he could have overturned the Election!”

 

We’ve become so used to Trump’s insane statements that they’ve ceased to impact us like they should. This is a former president saying that we should ignore democracy and overturn election results. If this were any other country, we’d be sounding the alarms.

 

With a war chest of over $100 million ready to back up his minions plotting to take the House this year, we need to rise today and defend our majority. Friends, Donald Trump is as massive of a threat to democracy as he has ever been. He continues to attack our institutions with statements explicitly written to feed red meat to his base while he prepares for another run at the White House.

 

And as the former president of the United States, he will use that platform to say whatever he wants, without any care for the damage he inflicts.
