Hi team, Last week we reintroduced the Future Forum Frontliner Fund to support each of our members on the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) 2022 Frontline Program List. Today, we are highlighting two west coasters: Rep. Josh Harder represents California’s 10th Congressional District. Sworn into office in 2019, he serves on the Agriculture Committee, and is focused on ensuring California’s Central Valley’s vibrant agricultural community continues to thrive. Rep. Harder currently represents the 10th district, but after the state's redistricting and Rep. Jerry McNerney’s decision to not seek reelection in the 9th district, he has decided to run for California’s 9th district. Rep. Katie Porter, also serving since 2019, represents California’s 45th Congressional District and is a member of the House Oversight and Reform Committee. Rep. Porter unseated Republican Mimi Walters in 2018 and was the first Democrat elected in that district. Now, Rep. Porter's district lines have been redrawn — and if the 2020 election were to play out again today, President Biden would only win her district by one point. Given that tight margin, and as the lone Democrat currently running for that seat, it is not surprising that a long list of Republican challengers have joined the race. We are proud of our members and the work they've done while representing their respective districts in California. But they are in competitive districts and we need to show them we have their backs.
Thank you, Future Forum |
