It’s Doris Matsui. Today, I want to talk to you all about something that makes our Sacramento community so exceptional: our vibrant collection of small businesses. Run by local entrepreneurs, small businesses drive job creation while creating a unique and inviting atmosphere in the region.. They are the lifeblood of our local economy and they keep money close to home, supporting our neighborhoods.
Small businesses employ nearly 57 million people nationwide, and money spent at local businesses accumulates 3.5 times more wealth for the local economy. I’m proud to support tax breaks for the local businesses that do so much for all of us and as your representative, I’m committed to helping our small businesses make it through this pandemic even stronger.
But I can only keep this up if I stay in office. That’s why I’m asking: can you commit to giving $10 today? Specifically, will you give $5 to my reelection campaign and spend another $5 at a small business today?
