Anthony Brown knows what it means to make history.
All the way back in 1979, he was the first Black student council president from his high school - and from there, he never stopped. He received the Bronze Star for his distinguished service with the United State Army in Iraq, won his first election to the Maryland House of Delegates by just 155 votes, he was our Lieutenant Governor, and defied the odds by winning a seat in Congress. And now he’s running to make history again as Maryland’s first Black Attorney General.
As we look back this Black History Month and acknowledge the great contributions that Black Americans have made for our country, we can also look forward and join together as we fight to make even more history together in Maryland this year.
