Children and grown-ups alike can read about beloved stars, creators and shows including Lin-Manuel Miranda, Patti LuPone, Michael Bennett, Jennifer Holliday, Ethel Merman, Billy Porter, Hamilton and Hairspray, along with the crew, stylists, technicians and more who are vital to every performance. A portion of the proceeds from book sales will be donated to The Actors Fund.
The Reading Series: In Concert The Reading Series, a virtual play reading group created in January 2021 by Alison Tanney, Kerrie Bond, Erin Leddy and Tim Realbuto, just announced their first live and in-person cabaret at Green Room 42 in NYC. Over the past 13 months, the group has produced 12 virtual readings of published plays and new works, giving performers an opportunity to continue to share their art during the shutdown while raising money for The Actors Fund. This one-night-only concert will feature reading alums and friends of the group Samantha Pauly (Six), Tally Sessions (Company), Janine DiVita (Jagged Little Pill), Andrew Kober (Hair), Christine Dwyer (Wicked) and Nick Gaswirth (Natasha, Pierre and The Great Comet of 1812). In addition to in-person tickets, $19 virtual tickets are available. Ticket proceeds will be donated to The Actors Fund.
The Rose Room The Rose Room is the secret place where circus, cabaret, magic and more are blended into this immersive nightlife experience providing the feeling of an old-world vaudeville club combined with New York's underground queer circus scene. This event features Mister Dusty Rose, Miriam Pultro, Amber Lyons, The Gabe Agenda, Onyx Noir, Brian Klimowski, Alaska, Tanya Solomon and Miss Gretchen Manors with Nic At Nite, Lee Alan Barrett, Spookey and Summer Moran. Net proceeds from this performance will be donated to The Actors Fund.
