This year we’re highlighting some of the most important AG races that we’ll need to win to help protect our communities, promote progress, and defend our civil rights.
First on the list: Michigan. The Democratic AG from the Great Lakes State is a fighter with a strong track record of looking out for us. AG Dana Nessel has gone to bat for our communities on everything from climate change and defending our elections, to LGBTQIA+ and reproductive rights, and we need to fight like hell to keep her in office this year.
In 2018, AG Nessel won her race in Michigan by barely 100,000 votes, and recent polls have shown that she only has a narrow edge over her Republican challenger in 2022.
Whether it’s investigating the rising price of insulin or holding the Big Lie proponents accountable, AG Nessel has advocated for Michigan communities – and our democracy – since her first day in office.
And Michigan is just one of the many Dem AG seats that we have to defend in a few months. DAGA is investing strategically in the candidates, teams, and messaging that will help us keep battleground states like Michigan blue in 2022, and we need your help.
Democratic AGs truly are “The People’s Lawyers” and DAGA is the only party committee devoted to electing more of them. Since 2016, we’ve won two-thirds of our targeted races, and with more than 30 AG seats up for grabs in 2022, we need your support – will you chip in today?
