John,

It's no secret that The Build Back Better Act faces some uncertainty in the Senate. While senators work out the details, we can't let them lose sight of the need for bold and immediate action to prevent the most catastrophic effects of climate change.

The $555 billion included in the House-passed Build Back Better Act would significantly curb fossil fuel emissions that have been warming the atmosphere -- fueling deadly wildfires, heat waves, and droughts.

These investments are critical in getting more electric vehicles on the road, and more solar panels and wind farms built. It would also ensure that the clean energy technology of the future is made right here in America.

This week, I led the signing of a letter alongside 22 of my colleagues urging President Biden and the Senate to make sure these climate investments remain central to any upcoming legislative package. Please add your voice to this letter by signing on today >>

In the months since the House passed the Build Back Better Act, we saw tornadoes in Kentucky kill at least 78 Americans. We saw wildfires in Colorado destroy upwards 1,000 homes. And this week, millions on the East Coast and in the Midwest are bracing for yet another life-threatening winter storm.

The threats posed by the climate crisis are no longer a distant threat -- they are here now.

Sign this letter telling the Senate to do everything possible to keep these funds in the bill to address the climate crisis.

Thanks for making your voice heard,

Mike
