Dear John,
I have spent my career advocating for civil rights, working families, and rural communities here in the South. I have lived through many moments of profound change – we are certainly experiencing one right now. I write to you today with a simple message:
We must protect our House majority in November.
In 2021, our House majority allowed us to deliver a vital COVID bill, providing direct relief to those who needed it most. With strong leadership in the House, Congress passed a historic bipartisan infrastructure bill to improve our bridges, airports, railways, broadband internet access, and so much more.
While we’ve made great strides towards progress, there is still much work to be done on the horizon. Voting rights are under attack across the country, climate change is wreaking havoc on our communities and infrastructure, and systemic inequality must be addressed.
As a nation, we cannot afford to allow Republicans to regain control of the House, and continue their platform of putting special interests ahead of the people.
During my time in Congress, I have done my dead level best to have a positive impact on the American people. But our work is far from over — we must continue our fight to build a better Georgia and a better country.
I am convinced that together we can do great things, and that with your help, we can ensure the American Dream remains accessible to all.
