Friend,
In February 2020, President Biden promised he would name a Black woman to the Supreme Court. Now that Justice Stephen Breyer is officially retiring, Biden’s opportunity is here.
Since the Supreme Court was established in 1789, there have been 114 justices.108 of them have been white men. Zero have been Black women.
With voting rights and reproductive rights on the line, we need a Supreme Court justice who will stand up for the values that are critical to the success of our democracy.
This chance is so important to the future of our nation. That’s why we’re gathering the opinions of at least 1,000 members of our grassroots team. Let us know by midnight — do you think Joe Biden should fulfill his promise and nominate a Black woman to the Supreme Court? [link removed]
