In Michigan, GOP candidates called on supporters to show up armed at polling places and to unplug voting machines "if you see something you don’t like happening." That is quite literally a crime.
The ruthless and shameless GOP continues to spin lies and rile up their base to commit election crimes because they can. There is literally no one stopping them – there has been no accountability for the attempted coup, threats to election security, or the continued spread of BIG LIE disinformation.
We are calling on the Department of Justice to investigate threats of election interference and tampering, as is occurring in Michigan and elsewhere, in order to halt these threats in their tracks and protect our free and fair elections. We will not sacrifice our democracy to extremists.
