The Hill: 23 House Democrats call for Biden to keep full climate funds in Build Back Better

John,

Across the country, communities are experiencing the devastating effects of the climate crisis firsthand. In Washington State, we've seen heatwaves, wildfires, and droughts – and it will only get worse if we don't take immediate action to address climate change.

As a doctor, scientist, and former EPA employee, Kim knows that climate change is the moral issue of our time. That's why she's working in Congress to protect our planet for generations to come.

Last year, Kim was proud to help pass an infrastructure bill which includes provisions championed by Kim to make our forests more resilient to wildfires, protect our rivers and streams, and more. And she just joined 22 other House Democrats in calling on President Biden to ensure that any amended version of the Build Back Better Act keeps the full funding to address the climate crisis.

If the Build Back Better Act is passed with full climate funds, it would represent the largest-ever single investment in our clean energy economy and set us on course for a 50% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions by 2030.

If you agree the time for transformational climate action is now, join Kim in calling for the passage of the Build Back Better Act's climate funding.

To hold the House majority, we must re-elect Rep. Kim Schrier in WA-08. Will you chip in to protect Kim's seat and the Democratic House majority in 2022?
