Dear John,

Are you, or someone you know, looking for a meaningful and challenging job working for something you feel passionately about? Come work with me and my team at Save the Boundary Waters! We’re hiring for several positions right now!

I first experienced the Boundary Waters when I was 10 years old, on a church youth trip through Sawbill Lake. I remember the thrill of catching fish (I had more success than the older kids on the trip, ha!) and the pride of portaging heavy packs or a canoe. I fell in love with the Boundary Waters, and I never wanted to leave when our trips were over.
I didn’t imagine then that working for this wild and beautiful place would become a job and a career. I also didn’t know at the time about the threat of toxic sulfide-ore copper mining near the Boundary Waters.
It’s pretty cool to wake up each day and work hard, alongside great colleagues and allies, and some of the smartest, most strategic minds in conservation, to protect a place we all love and cherish.
If this is your dream too, apply to join our staff! Or share this with someone else you know who might be interested in this type of work.
