GET INVOLVED

Education Group

If you watched or read the news lately, you know our public education system is under attack. All over the country, “Moms for Liberty” and “Parental Rights” groups are jamming up school board meetings demanding books be removed, masks be removed, CRT stop being taught (it isn’t), and school districts bow down to their every whim. In opposition, groups are starting to form to counter these attacks on our public education system.

Locally, a group of parents and concerned community members have been speaking at our school board meetings and writing letters to provide an alternate voice of reason. We are beginning to organize and need more help. If you are interested in joining a team working to preserve our public education system, please email ** [email protected] (mailto:[email protected])
for more information.

Texters Needed

We have purchased a new texting program to reach out to voters in Indian River County. We are looking for volunteers who can send texts. It’s very easy and can be done from your couch or dining room table. All you need is a computer, no phones needed! If you are interested, email Stacey at ** [email protected] (mailto:[email protected])
and she can send you more information about how the program works.

STATE

DeSantis Late to Speak Out Against Anti-Semitism

Images and clips of people in Orlando wearing Nazi symbols while saluting and shouting at passing cars sent shock waves through Florida this weekend. Orange County Sheriff John Mina vowed on Twitter to investigate any criminal activity. DeSantis spokeswoman Christina Pushaw posted and then deleted a tweet questioning if the demonstrators were actually Democrats in disguise. DeSantis did not made a public statement about the incidents until asked about them Monday afternoon at a news conference to address Everglades funding.
In response, following the rallies, DeSantis denounced Democrats whom he accuses of pinning the rallies on him.

While other Florida political leaders, including many Republicans, publicly condemned the gathering, DeSantis had not, sparking some criticism of the governor on social media. DeSantis said those critics were trying to "use this as some type of political issue," adding: "We're not playing their game." Democratic candidates for governor immediately reacted to DeSantis' news conference. US Rep. Charlie Crist wrote on Twitter: "It should be easy, Ron. Condemn the Nazis."

Erin Grall to Run for Seat in Proposed SD 29

Erin Grall has announced that she will be running for the proposed Senate District 29. Robbie Brackett, current Mayor of Vero Beach, has also announced that he will be running for Grall’s House seat in District 54. You can read about Grall’s future run here:

Gifford Vendor Day

LETTERS TO THE EDITOR

Each week we feature a letter that was written to the TC Palm in opposition to Democrats or our ideals. We then ask that you write a response back. It’s time we start speaking out as a collective and correcting the disinformation printed in newspapers. Staying silent is accepting, and we must fight for our democracy.

Here is the letter we ask you to respond to:

Democrats Have Game Plan to Keep Themselves in Power

The Democrats’ game plan to ensure themselves permanent power and to “change the U.S. forever” is now painfully clear. President Biden’s border policy, while being described as a failure, is actually a success for them. Over 2 million migrants from some 60 countries poured over our southern border last year and an unknown number of them have been resettled all over the country under the cloak of darkness by our government, all expenses paid by the taxpayers. If the Democrats can’t control the voters in the United States, they’ll import voters they can.

To that end, California is now proposing universal health care for everyone, legal or not. New York City is about to allow more than 800,000 non-citizens to vote in local elections. Banging the drum of “voter suppression,” Democrats were pushing a bill that would change voting in this country from constitutionally mandated state laws to a monolithic federal law that would, among other things, not require proof of voter eligibility.

Biden swore an oath to uphold, protect, and defend the Constitution and laws of this country. He has violated every one of those commitments. If that’s not an impeachable offense, I can’t imagine what would be. Sen. Chuck Schumer was more forthright when he said that with majorities in both houses of Congress “we will change the U.S. forever.” When Republicans regain the House and Senate in 2022, I hope they will push for impeachment with the same vigor the Democrats did when President Trump was in office. Biden might not even be in office then, but millions of people will be in this country illegally.

Thank God for Sens. Joe Manchin and Kyrsten Sinema. Give them the strength to hold up against the continuous abuse and threats heaped on them by their party.
