** Plastic pollution is a deadly ticking clock ([link removed])

Our report Connecting the Dots: Plastic pollution and the planetary emergency was released in January, pulling together recent scientific data on the broad impact of plastics on climate, biodiversity, human health and the environment – and it warned only a robust global treaty for plastics can address the mounting problem. The predicted rise in plastic pollution spilling into the environment constitutes a dire emergency and yet plastic emissions into the oceans alone are due to triple by 2040.

** A failure to see justice through in Uganda ([link removed])

Our Wildlife team highlighted a disappointing failure to properly pursue justice in Uganda after the seizure of elephant ivory and pangolin scales three years ago – despite arrests disrupting the trade, the case has faced endless delays and obstacles.
